Through my work I strive to create space that allows the image to materialize.

In doing so, I am able to establish a dialogue with materials, the surface and myself.

The vehicle for this exploration is layers of medium exposing visual artifacts beneath the paint.

An interchange transpires between intuition and the surface of the painting.

Through these works flows a moodiness, a timelessness and exuberant raw energy.

Some of the images are either composing or decomposing, receding or advancing.

My goal is to visually straddle the threshold of this possibility and engage the viewer in making their own determination.
